Why Choose Reconditioned?

Reconditioned packaging is both cheaper and more environmentally friendly!

In a world becoming more environmentally conscious, when it comes to drums, reconditioned containers are the better option; reducing both the amounts of material for disposal/landfill, as well as reducing the amount of new materials being used to create the drum.

Chemical drums

Primarily are made from recyclable materials, primarily plastics and steel. By recycling or reconditioning chemical drums this diverts a stream of large waste items form landfill and preserves the natural resources needed to produce drums from virgin materials. By utilising a recycling service this also removes potentially hazardous waste, helping to avoid contamination and improving safety.

Reconditioning Drums

Drums are collected, cleaned and where needed reconditioned, such as the replacement of closures and lids. These drums are then resold.

Recycling Drums

Drums must be triple-rinsed and punctured before they can be accepted for crushing. Once crushed the metal drums are transported for recycling. Reusable plastic drums will be returned to the relevant chemical company. Non-reusable drums will be shredded and recycled for uses such as plastic culvert pipes.
